H.E. Dr. Rumaih AL-Rumaih, the Deputy Minister Of Transport & Logistic Services, and Acting President of Transport General Authority (TGA) since July 2022, He has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors between the executive and operational management.

AL-Rumaih He gained a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the University of Leicester.

AL-Rumaih began his career in KACST in the field of scientific and academic research and was a part-time consultant in the Ministry of Defense.
His Excellency Dr. Rumaih began his professional career at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in the field of scientific and academic research, in addition to working as a part-time consultant at the Ministry of Defense, before moving to work in the private sector in executive positions, where Dr. Rumaih assumed the position of Vice President of the Gulf Training Company in 2002, then Vice President of Operations at the Saudi Railway Company (SAR) in 2008, then assumed the position of CEO of the Saudi Railway Company (SAR) in 2010, and then President General of the General Railway Organization in Dammam in 2015. In 2016, he was appointed President of the General Transport Authority and Acting President of the General Railway Organization. His term in his last position as Acting President of the Organization ended last year 2021, and His Excellency Dr. Rumaih still holds the position of President of the General Transport Authority. His Excellency has chaired a number of councils and committees, including Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Railway Technical Institute (SARBI), and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Logistics Academy. He is currently a member of several councils, as he is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the General Transport Authority, a member of the Board of Directors of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, a member of the Board of Directors of the King Fahd Causeway Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Red Sea Authority, a member of the Board of Directors of the Future Work Company, a member of the Industrial Council, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Makkah Trains Company for Public Transport. He previously served as a member of a number of councils, such as the Board of Directors of the General Investment Authority, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and the Board of Directors of the Saudi Company for Electronic Information Exchange (Tabadul). His Excellency Dr. Rumaih has also participated in a number of supervisory and executive committees, in addition to his participation in many local and international scientific conferences specialized in the transportation and logistics sector.
